Mistakes Many Couples Make With Wedding Photography

Many couples would realize that they had gone about their photography in the wrong way only after the event. Then, it would be too late as they cannot hold another ceremony to correct their errors. It is therefore essential that you always get the photography right so you spare yourself grief afterwards.
The Rule No.1 is never hire a photographer without assessing his samples. You would have to ignore all the credentials on the site, at his bridal show stand and shop till you are satisfied with his shots. Is he creative? Does he produce the right images that anyone would look at and be able to understand and appreciate what took place at the event?
Photojournalism is becoming common at wedding events of late. The difference between him and a regular one is the story they carry. A traditional picture taker will give you shots whilst a photojournalist would tell a story with pictures. A photojournalist would ensure that he takes shots that capture each scene in accurate sequence.
You will need a photographer with an amiable personality to get your job well-done. You would notice the kind of person he is through the initial meetings. You would be able to infer if he listens to your suggestions and will patiently ask questions or seek clarifications.
Your photographer must be a well-organized person. On the day of the event you expect him to be well-prepared and not someone who will be requesting to leave the grounds to bring back something he had forgotten. You must be able to detect his full personality as regards his professionalism during your meetings.
Some picture takers would charge according to the number of images taken. If this option is chosen by the couple, then the photographer has every incentive to generate as many images as possible, resulting in probable waste for the couple. You would want to limit the number of shots to be taken whilst insisting that certain photos are necessarily captured.
