Mark Boucher is an accomplished photographer with over 30 years of experience. Born and raised in Maine, the oldest of three brothers, Mark spent his younger years in the Boy Scouts, earning Eagle Scout rank and eventually becoming his Troops’ Scoutmaster. Mark has always loved the outdoors and it shows in his nature photography. His Scouting leadership years have also taught him how to have fun and relate to kids!

Mark’s love of photography started in Jr. High school when he joined the Photography Club. Although most of his career has been in IT, Mark’s interest in photography never waned as he worked freelance in his spare time continuingly building his skills and style. Mark has also done summer theatre and even did some stand-up comedy. But photography is and always will be his real passion.

While living for some time in Japan, Mark discovered a deep affection for Japanese art and is working on developing a Zen like style of beauty and simplicity in his work. While in Japan he met his lovely wife and with her support and love, Mark decided to pursue his dream of becoming a full time photographer.

Mark moved to the South in 2000 to experience snow-less winters, warm weather and warm people. Now living in the Columbia South Carolina, he is working toward his dream. Mark specializes in wedding, family and fine art photography. His images are artistic and creative and will make for happy memories for his clients in the many years to come.
